Happy Sunday, readers! Welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!
Last week felt like a lot to me! First off, I felt like I got a lot of reading done. I had two blog tour stops scheduled this week, so I wanted to really stay on track. I managed to read two whole books: Black Boy Joy edited by Kwame Mbalia and The Mismatch by Sara Jafari. Black Boy Joy re-ignited my love for middle-grade writing that just speaks to the heart, which I am sure whoever read my review notice! Haha! I am so excited to start reviewing The Mismatch because that book was so relatable and I cannot get over how much I loved it! How did I end up reading two 5-star reads in one week?
Weirdly, my mood dropped drastically in the past two days and picked up when I finally opened up to a close friend about what was bothering me. I think that says a lot about how self-destructively good I am at bottling up negative emotions inside myself when I don’t really need to! I was working on a research case report at the same time, so my low mood did not help that at all. I ended up stretching the workload over double the days it would have normally taken and missed out on a few blog posts I wanted to compose. Yikes! I plan on catching up next week though, so wish me luck!
I hope you enjoy this week’s Sunday Sum-Up! These are all great content and I am so excited to be sharing these with y’all!

I’m glad you had a friend to talk to, and I hope you feel better soon. It’s so disrupting to life when mental health issues pop up. Take care!
Thanks Tammy! I am incredibly lucky to have a close friend who I can talk to!
Thank you Hasini for featuring my review 🙂
I am sorry to hear that last week was hard, but I really want to thank you for featuring one of my posts! It’s a series I’m very proud of, because it took me such a long time to make. I’m so happy to know that there are people out there who enjoy it! <3
Thank you and you’re welcome! I can definitely see all the hard work you’ve put into it!
I’m sorry to hear that your mood dipped but it’s so good that you have a friend to open to and talk things through with! I also have that destructively good habit of keeping things in but I’m slowly pushing myself to healthier habits of reaching out to a friend when I need it! I hope you have a fabulous week ahead ❤️
Thanks for that, Dini! It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one, honestly! Hope we both have great success with developing healthier habits!
Great wrap-up Hasini, and thank you so much for including my post! Sorry to hear you had some struggles last week, but it is good that you had a friend to talk to. I hope this week is going well 😊
Thanks Stephen! 🙂
