Review Policy

If you would like me to review a book, please feel free to contact me provided that I am accepting review requests at the time.

I do my best to provide honest, constructive and critical reviews. So, yes, I do post low-starred reviews on this blog. I do not post rant reviews or flames. I will always discuss the positives and negatives of the book because someone else might like the bits I don’t

I reserve the right to not review or rate any particular book. I will, of course, reach out to the relevant party to explain my reasoning.

The reviews posted here are only my opinion. So, if I rate a book low, it doesn’t mean the book itself is a bad one. I do try my best to enjoy all the books I read, but I’m only human.

Unless stated at the beginning of a review, all my reviews will be spoiler-free. I do not consider anything that is included in the blurb or the first 15% of the book to be a “spoiler”.

I do not post star ratings on this blog because I prefer my review on its own to convey my likes and dislikes. However, I will be rating the books on Goodreads and Amazon, as well as in the post tags.

I do not accept books that are not listed on Goodreads due to two reasons:

It is one of my main platforms of choice.
I prefer to get a general opinion of the book through Goodreads content before I accept a request.

I do accept requests from all self-published authors or indie or small-presses. I will choose based on my interest in your book or familiarity with the author.
