Sunday Sum-Up: Much Anticipated Review Copies & A Reading Slump

Sunday Sum-Up: Much Anticipated Review Copies & A Reading Slump

Happy Sunday and welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!

The past week was pretty exciting since I got asked to review some pretty amazing 2022 book releases. I had these two books on my radar, so being asked to review them personally was unexpected and unbelievable, honestly! These two anticipated releases are Blood Scion by Deborah Falaye and Kelcie Murphy and the Academy for the Unbreakable Arts by Erika Lewis.

My reading this week was a tad bit slow, which was disappointing because I am currently reading an amazing new release that I can’t wait to read, City of Shattered Light by Claire Winn. My reading slump cure was to pick up a steamy romance to read alongside my current read, so I guess I’m reading my second Christina Lauren book now! I am almost a hundred pages into Beautiful Secret and even though I am reading this series all over the place I am still really enjoying it!

Life update-wise, I haven’t really got much going on right now. The most exciting thing that happened was probably me improving my driving skills. I am finally starting to actually enjoy driving without being anxious about it all the time!

How has your week been, guys? Anything new on your end?

I recommended 15 romance books with one of my favourite tropes of all time: ‘only one bed’!

As part of the blog tour, I reviewed To Break a Covenant by Alison Ames, a YA horror novel with sapphic characters and some great writing!

I posted a review of my favourite rom-com of 2021, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood!

Since the month is almost up, I decided it’s time to pick at my book buys for September!

And that’s it for this week’s Sunday Sum-Up! Hope you guys have a great week ahead!
