This week has been a great reading week! I finished off 2 e-ARCs and one of them turned out to be a five-star read, so I was thrilled. Now I am on a middle-grade fantasy that I will be reviewing in a few weeks.
Coming back to middle-grade has helped me remember how fun this genre is! It’s just so much fun and creativity with less of the “worldly pressures” I guess LOL! Also, this week’s Sunday Sum-Up features many middle-grade reads, so lots of fun recommendations are below!
Reviews
I really enjoyed reading these fantastic reviews and ended up adding all of these books to my Goodreads! Take a look, share some love, and add some new books to you TBRs!
- Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight reviews five new books that released on February 23
- Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl reviews A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
- Sammie @ The Bookwyrm’s Den reviews Peter Lee’s Notes From the Field by Angela Ahn
- CW @ The Quiet Pond reviews Take Back the Block by Chrystal D. Giles
- Tammy @ Books, Bones & Buffy reviews an ARC of Sun-Daughters, Sea Daughters by Aimee Ogden
Discussions
Every week I come across discussion posts that blow my mind and relate with me, so here are my favourites from this week! Join the conversations!
- CW @ The Quiet Pond shares 10 Black middle-grade books
- Dani @ Literary Lion discusses how blogging had affected her reading
- Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense lists 10 books that are fun to read
- Samantha @ Bibliomavens discusses what’s okay to do as a bookworm
- Erin @ Reading On A Star explains the difference between copied and inspired content (a must-read for all bloggers, in my opinion)
Bookstagram
Bookstagram is one of my favourite platforms to share and promote. There is amazing talent all over this Instagram community and here are a few amazing Bookstagrammers I discovered this week!
@pagesofjules
@clauiiixbooks
@halfbookaway
Lastly, this week on Bibliosini…
I listed out all the book covers with food on them in my TBR for this week’s #5OnMyTBR.
The Bone Fire by György Dragomán and translated by Ottilie Mulzet released on 23 February. Here’s my 3-star review of this Gothic coming-of-age YA.
