Happy Sunday and welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!
Because of job-hunting stress, I procrastinated a lot by reading, so I managed to finish Rea and the Blood of the Nectar by Payal Doshi and The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Ended up being a 4-star and 5-star read, respectively, so I’m pretty happy! The Color Purple got me really thinking too, about the history of racism, human behaviour and sisterhoods. I now understand why it’s a classic!
I also had some very insightful moments this past week and I think I have my journalling to thank for that. I felt like my journalling elevated to a whole new level this week and I felt a lot more freer and relaxed doing it. Do you journal as well?
Enjoy my handpicked posts and creators from the last week and I hope you find something that resonates with you as well!

Thanks you so much for the share! <3 I reread The Color Purple last year and it's such an impactful book. Definitely should be a must-read for everyone. Happy Reading this week!
Yes, it should be! It’s made me think about a lot of its concepts! Happy reading to you too!
Journaling can really help. 🙂 Glad to see you gave Rea a 4 star. I have that one for reviews as well 🙂
I’m curious to see what you think of Rea! And yes, I will recommend journalling to each and every person I meet now! Haha!
Glad to hear you had a 5-star read this week! I still need to read The Color Purple, but I heard great things. Good luck with the job hunting!
Thank you! Hope you get a chance to read The Color Purple!
Time to re-read The Colour Purple…. I remember it being such a powerful book- not surprised you gave it 5 stars. One of those books that changes your perspective.
