Happy Sunday, readers, and welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!
How has the new month been treating you so far? I have had a fairly slow but steady month, I think. Nothing too exciting, but I am not exactly bored either. Even my reading pace feels the same right now and I am left wondering if it is something to do with the genres. Should I just stick to reading adult romances for a while? I haven’t stuck to a single genre for an extended period in ages really, so that sounds so strange.
Right now I am reading Jadie in Five Dimensions by Dianne K. Salerni, which is a blog tour read I was super excited to get my hands on, and I am buddy reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I picked up reading Sapiens where I left it off a few weeks back too and I am hoping to finish that chunky book off this month.
Lastly, I have been meaning to announce a small project that I wanted to start as part of my blog! For a few months now, I have been contemplating putting up a directory for Sri Lankan book bloggers. We make up a tiny part of the book blogging community as it is and I have come to realise that we are also very disconnected from each other. I aim to provide book bloggers from my culture and county a safe space to connect as well as thrive in. It’ll be a place where even the newest blogger could come to and meet fellow bloggers they could socialise and get tips from. And if all fails, well it will be fun!
Let me know in the comments below if you would like to be a part of this Sri Lankan book bloggers directory! And I hope you have a great week ahead!
- Celia @ Celia’s Books reviews The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne by Jonathan Stroud
- Chelsea @ Your Bookish Friend reviews Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat & Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff
- Amanda @ Bookish Brews reviews The Keeper of Night by Kylie Lee Baker
- Raji @ Worlds Unlike Our Own reviews Not Here To Be Liked by Michelle Quach
- Cherelle @ A Book out of the Bolt reviews Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan
- Nina @ tender curiosity wrote a great discussion around She Who Became The Sun & the importance of visibility in the marketing of LGBTQ+ books

I was part of two great book tours this week: Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan and The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne by Jonathan Stroud!
For this week’s Let’s Talk Bookish, I discussed 5 book tropes that I think are overused, along with book recs that did them right!
And that’s it for this week’s Sunday Sum-Up!
