Since we are approaching the last week of September, I feel like it is time to once again take a peek at my monthly book haul and rave about new books for a day! As always, I will be linking up with Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Reading Reality and created by Team Tynga’s Reviews.
First of all, I am really starting to stick to this ‘more ebooks and less physical copies’ routine a lot better now. Compared to my Kindle TBR, my physical TBR seems so much more manageable, so I am gonna focus on reading more off my physical shelves from next month onwards!
I am so glad that my Throne of Glass collection is slowly but surely making its way to completion! Since I bought Queen of Shadows, I am now the proud owner of four books in the series, but since I am sticking to secondhand purchases these days, I don’t really know how soon I’ll be able to actually start reading the books! Should I cave and read them on my Kindle?
This month I was obviously on a huge romance binge because holy moly look at all these romance purchases! The Love Hypothesis was actually a pre-order and it fast became a 2021 favourite. It Happened One Summer was such great steamy romance and I’ll have that review up next week. I am so excited to read While We Were Dating for the fake dating trope because I am fast starting to realise I am a sucker for it. Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay happened to be free and I grabbed it too. Can’t wait to get started on that! And how cool is this Fall in Love bundle? Twelve whole small town romance novels from such great authors? Oh my God, yes!
August’s Romance Read Club pick was Come Back For Me by Corinne Michaels. Once again, new author, new books for me, so no idea what I am in for yet!
I got quite a handful of review copies this month! I received a short story anthology by a Sri Lankan author titled Yes, We Can! and it was a pretty quick read, so expect a review soon! Right now I am reading City of Shattered Light by Claire Winn in preparation for a blog tour and I am really liking this interplanetary sci-fi thriller! I was lucky to be selected for blog tours for both Jade Fire Gold and The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne, so those would be my next reads. And then probably the more extraordinary thing that happened was when a book PR agency reached out for me to review two 2022 releases! I can’t wait to check out Kelcie Murphy and the Academy for the Unbreakable Arts and Blood Scion! I had these two on my radar, so I feel immensely lucky that they actually reached out to me first!
Any favourite bookish purchases this month? Notice any favourites of yours in my book haul?
