#5OnMyTBR is a weekly meme hosted by E. @Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it in her announcement post. #5OnMyTBR takes place every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR. You can find each week’s prompts on here or come up with your own.
Today’s prompt is Road Trip.
I love the idea of a good road trip but that is mostly because I have never been on what I would call a road trip yet. The kind of road trip I would love is maybe two or three people in a car, nights in roadside hotels/motels, diner food, and great sights. Here are five road trip books I want to get my hands on!
- middle-grade
- 11-year-old Scoob with his unconventional White grandma
- set against the backdrop of the segregation history of the American South
- second chance romance
- a trio of best friends
- following a trail of postcards through Ireland and the UK
- another middle-grade!
- Olivia and her big sister Ruth on the hunt for a time capsule
- tackles depression
- young adult
- two strangers on a one-night road trip
- fun read with profound messages
- an 80-year-old and her daughter plus a 20-something driver
- light and funny but heavy and emotional
- said 80-year-old fought off an intruder with her skillet… nuff said
What road trip books have you been enjoying?

I loveee road trips in books too but sadly not all that much in real life because I get carsick! 🙁 I think one of my all-time favorite road trip book is Saving June by Hannah Harrington. I also really loved the one by Morgan Matson but I’m forgetting the title.
All of these sound super charming and I’m mostly interested in the Nic Stone one because I love her writing!
Honestly, I am the same! I get carsick often and that makes a road trip very uncomfortable most times! I am glad you’ve got some of these on ur list too! I’ll make sure to check out your recs!!!
I love road trip books! I didn’t know these, but they look like fun. Hope you’ll enjoy 🙂
Thanks, Lindsey! I haven’t read a good road trip book in ages!😂
