Happy Sunday, readers! Welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!
I cannot believe that half of this year is done and dusted! I enjoyed this year a lot more than last year because this time I was a lot more grounded in my goals and a lot more flexible in how I faced everything. So yay for me!
Last month I read six and a half books. Right now I am halfway through Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami; it is an interesting read but I am still wondering what my overall opinion will be by the time I finish it off.
Here are the rest of my reads from June:
- The Broken Hearts Honeymoon by Lucy Dickens – rated 4/5 stars
- Phenomenal Woman: Four Poems Celebrating Women by Maya Angelou – rated 5/5 stars
- The Atlas of Fairy Tales by Claudia Bordin – rated 4/5 stars
- The Crimson Countess by Brynn Myers – rated 4/5 stars
- It’s Been a Pleasure, Noni Blake by Claire Christian – rated 4/5 stars
- Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses by Kristen O’Neal – rated 3/5 stars
My favourite novel from last month was It’s Been a Pleasure, Noni Blake, because it prompted me to embark on a lot of self-reflecting. Also, I totally loved that cast of fun-loving characters!
On a more downer side of things, I ended up with a migraine since Tuesday evening, then some vertigo Wednesday onwards, so it’s been a “fun” few days. I am slowly getting better but I have never been hit with this combo of symptoms before and it’s taking longer than usual to get back to my usual self. But I’ve got this! I’m almost my usual self! I’ll be dishing out blog posts and reading book after book in no time! I’ll update you guys on more next week!
Hope you guys have a great week ahead!

Thanks Chelsea! I’m glad I managed to read all of these before I fell ill! LOL!
I also had a month of unusual (for me) migraine symptoms in June. Maybe something in the global weather? Hope this month is less symptomatic for you.
PS thank you for the link!
Oh wow! I’m sorry you had to go through this as well! Hopefully you’re feeling better! But yeah, maybe? Isn’t that odd? Haha!
I’m sorry to hear you haven’t felt your best, but happy you’re on the mend! I had childhood migraines and they were no fun. I hope the rest of July is great for you! <3
