Happy October, readers! Today’s Sunday Sum-Up will be my last month’s wrap-up and a few October hopefuls!
Let’s start with my September 2021 wrap-up! I read a total of seven books, which I thought was pretty cool because I hardly get anywhere beyond five books on average! It’s all thanks to the rom-coms I picked up but they were all such great reads too! You can check out my Bookstagram post below to see what books I read.
My favourite read of last month was The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Apparently, I’m a huge fan of STEM nerds, fake dating, age gap and grumpy-sunshine romances!
As for my October hopefuls, I am prioritizing my book tour picks, which left 2 books left for this month. I am reading Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan right now and my next eARC will be The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne by Jonathan Stroud. I’ll probably try pick up one of my 2022 eARCs too, maybe Kelcie Murphy and the Academy for the Unbreakable Arts by Erika Lewis.
I also plan on reading more from my physical TBR since I might need to move by the end of the year, meaning I can’t carry my TBR with me (sob!). I am halfway through Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren. I’ll try read at least two more from my TBR, so right now I am eyeing two Anita Blake novels: The Laughing Corpse and Circus of the Damned.
I aim to read a total of six books this month, which I think is a good, safe number to aim for LOL! There is a huge possibility I will pick up random rom-coms in between my scheduled reads, but let’s see how it goes!

Thanks for linking to my post! The cover for Kelcie Murphy and the Academy for the Unbreakable Arts looks beautiful – can’t wait for you review if you pick that up!
IKR! I love the illustrated cover! 😍
Sounds like September was a good month. And yay for rom coms! Although I don’t read them these days, they are definitely good for those times when you need happy books to read😁
I agree! Romcoms are good comfort reads! ❤
Looks like you had a great reading month! I’ve read some of Tessa Bailey’s earlier stuff but still have yet to read her more recent romances though I love all the covers 😍 This one sounds really fun! CLo’s Beautiful Bastard series is one I’ve been wanting to re-read for a while now but I remember enjoying it a lot! I hope you’re having a good time with the series too. Happy reading and have a great month ahead!
Thanks, Dini! I hope you get to read IHOS! It’s so good! This is my 2nd BEAUTIFUL BASTARD book and I really wanna read this whole series ASAP!
