Happy Sunday, readers! Welcome to another Sunday Sum-Up!
I inadvertently ended up taking a break from blogging in the past week, unannounced and totally spontaneous. I just could not muster up the drive to pen even one blog post, so the only thing that went live was my blog tour spot, which I wrote last week (thank God!). Having been in the blogging community for a while, I have seen many other bloggers talk about unexpected hiatuses like this, so I guess it was my time to experience it myself!
But it was not all doom and gloom here. I finally got my preordered copy of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood and OH. MY. GOD! Did I love it or did I LOVE IT?!? Haha! I loved reading a rom-com that centred in S.T.E.M. academia setting with two S.T.E.M. protags!!! It felt relatable on such a visceral level! This is possibly one of my all-time faves and a definite comfort read from now on, so stay tuned for my review sometime this month!
I also read some horror! GASP! It was young-adult but it still managed to creep me out so much that I did not read it at night! My review of To Break a Covenant by Alison Ames will be up this week, so keep an eye out for that too!
I also baked after forever! I made mini birthday cake squares to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. She got to choose the colours, so I made batches with blue and purple icing. We have not seen each other in person in almost two years since we finished our undergrad together since she lives in a whole other country, but we message each other pretty much everyday. We spent her birthday eating birthday cake over a videocall and catching up for hours. It was somehow the best!
And that was my week! How was yours? I hope you had a good week so far! Anyway, here are some goodies that could brighten up your day!

Thanks for the mention!
I’m excited for The Love Hypothesis too. It’s one of my most anticipated new-releases this year. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the feature and have an amazing week ahead.
I loved it so much! I hope you get to read it soon! <3
Haha we’re unscheduled blogging break buddies! I think if you’re too strict with yourself about blogging to a schedule, it can lead to burnout. I’d rather blog when I’m in the mood than see it as chore. So embrace your blogging breaks!
Thank you, Ellie! I’ll make sure to keep that advice in mind! You’re so right!
