Happy Sunday, readers! I’m finally back with another Sunday Sum-Up!
Can you believe that I was just sipping mimosas by the beach and reading You Truly Assumed? I feel like this is another life that I suddenly transplanted myself into! For someone who ended up jobless for two years because of COVID and spent most of those two years at home, this just feels unreal.
Since I started working full-time here as an intern doctor, my weekdays are usually occupied by work, work and work. I usually try to read at least a chapter every day but I get most of my reading done during the weekend. My weekends have taken on a simple routine. Saturdays are for chores and sleeping in. Sundays are for solo dates to Enzo’s By The Beach, where I spend my hours occupying a lone table and either reading or blogging.
Rather than simply ignoring real life and just talking about reading on today’s post, I decided to share a more solid titbit of my life. Though I am intimidated at times by my life here in Australia, I am also super grateful and at times disbelieving.
I won’t lie that balancing blogging and full-time work has been difficult. Downright impossible at times. But I have realised that the key is to at least try and acknowledge that you tried your best and things are exactly as they are meant to be!
How has your life been these past few days? What changes? What problems? Let me know in the comments below and let’s talk!

I can relate to finding it difficult to balance life at university and blogging! Am glad you are finally in a routine you enjoy๐
IKR! I was so worried that I might not balance the two properly but I am really happy with what I have managed so far!
Your Sundays sound SO lovely. I’m glad you’ve got a routine and are able to get some down time on the weekends. hope work isn’t too stressful for you <3
Thanks, Salma! I really needed that Sunday detox after the weekdays I usually end up having LOL!
Thanks for the mention! Balancing blogging and work certainly does get tricky at times, but I’m glad you’ve found a routine that works!
No worries, Raji! ๐
I love your weekend routine! I definitely feel you on the struggle of balancing full time work and blogging (this is the first time I’ve gotten to blog hop all month!). But I hope you’re able to continue to take care of yourself, give yourself grace and enjoy it!
Thanks, Nicole! And it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one! I hope you are able to indulge in some self-care from time to time too!
