Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. For the last few years, it’s been co-hosted at Team Tynga’s and here at Reading Reality. Reading Reality became the one and only host of Stacking the Shelves when Team Tynga’s Reviews closed its virtual doors in 2021.
Receiving all my Big Bad Wolf Sale shipment spurred me to share it with everyone, so I am back with Stacking The Shelves after months and months of my last and only book haul post!
Physical copy purchases:
I love collecting all the books in a series, then binge reading them in one go! When I saw Demonglass and Spell Bound, my Hex Hall-addicted heart just swooned! I randomly bought Ice Kissed since I plan on reading the Kanin Chronicles someday and it is just two more books to collect. I have officially collected three out of the four books in the Bared to You series with my purchase of Captivated by You! Finally, I grabbed this cute copy of My True Love Gave To Me because I remember reading it a while back and liking the cutesy romances in it.
I am diving into some new subject matters with Atlantis and Cook, Brew, and Blend Your Own Herbs, so I am excited to see how that goes! I already started making my way through The Crochet Stitch Bible so it will be only a matter of time before I dig into 201 Crochet Motifs, Blocks, Projects, and Ideas. And I finally bought Twelve Years a Slave! I watched the movie a few years back and found it so moving! My last two buys were purely indulgent: 501 Must-Read Books and The Atlas of Fairy Tales!
Digital copy purchases:
I preordered a copy of Grace and Glory, so I was very excited when it dropped into my Kindle library this month! Fluffy was free on Kindle and I have been wanting to read it ever since I read Jana’s review of it, so I grabbed it ASAP! The Midnight Library was on sale when I came across it, so I had to grab it. Then I was lucky enough to notice that the rest of these buys were all free on Amazon Kindle, so I went all out!
I was so excited to see Opposites Attract on sale because I have been eyeing this book since I first heard about it! Of Beauty and Beast was a completely random buy based on the fact that it is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with good reviews on Goodreads. The School Mistress is another random buy, this time a historical fiction, that caught my eye.
I was also going through books with retro-ish covers and came across the first two books in the Honor Harrington series: On Basilisk Station by and The Honor of the Queen. Free classics and history books on Kindle are something of a guilty pleasure of mine so I ended up grabbing The Iliad & The Odyssey by Homer and Celtic Mythology by Hourly History.
Digital copies received:
As a member of the Romance Read Club, I received a copy of Bad Apple, their June pick, and I am so excited because I am a huge Elle Kennedy fan ever since I read her Off-Campus series! This was previously published in 2008 as Midnight Encounters and this revamped edition came out in 2019.
I did not request or receive any review copies this month, which is an extremely good thing since I have a few review copies from way back that I want to get through during this half of the year.
And that’s my haul this month! Did any of these look interesting to you?

Awesome haul, Hasini! I really want to read The Midnight Library. I hope you enjoy it😁
Thanks, Tammy! 😁
I joined this meme way back when it was only Tynga hosting it. I’d wondered what happened so I’m glad to see you’ve carried the torch 🙂 Once my buying ban is over, I’ll definitely link up!!
Can’t wait to see what you’ll end up buying, Megan!
