#5OnMyTBR is a new weekly meme hosted by E. @Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it in her announcement post. #5OnMyTBR takes place every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR. You can find each week’s prompts on here or come up with your own.
Today’s prompt: Recced by a Friend
I am so excited about this week’s prompt since I’ll get to shout out some of my bookish friends here! Ever since I saw this prompt, I’ve had the layout of this prompt mapped out in my mind, and now I can finally post this!
The Devil’s Night series by Penelope Douglas
This series was recommended by one of my favourite bookstagrammers, @may.firstofhername. May said this series is her favourite dark romance, so I am so pumped to start this series soon! I’ve got Books One to Three on my Kindle, so I’ll get my hands on Book Four soon!
Credence by Penelope Douglas
Once again guys, this is a @may.firstofhername recommendation! Are we surprised? No, because this gal is a hardcore Penelope Douglas fan and I’m here for it! May singlehandedly reignited my drive to read Pen Douglas books, people!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I got this recommended to me by so many people, including May and a whole bunch of others. The thing is I actually had the first book but I never read it but when I was told that this was on par with Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Blood and Ash series, I just bought the other two books with no hesitation!
A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
Oh my God, this book! Can we talk about how crazy the hype was! I got introduced to do this series through bookstagram and I added it to my Goodreads TBR because of how everyone is raving about it! But with Greek mythology and a satisfying level of smut, how can I not add this?
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab
Initially, I wasn’t too interested in this book, in all honesty. The cover was gorgeous, sure, but the blurb never pulled me in. Then the bookstagram reviews started piling up and now I am dying to read this! Almost everyone I talked to kept recommending I read this, so yes, I will… as soon as I am out of my book buying ban!
And that’s it! All the bookstagrammers I have featured on here have some amazing feeds, so make sure you check out their profiles for anything bookish!
