#5OnMyTBR is a new weekly meme hosted by E. @Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it in her announcement post. #5OnMyTBR takes place every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR. You can find each week’s prompts on here or come up with your own.
Today’s prompt: Mystery
I find it amusing that today’s prompt is pretty much everything this month has been all about for me. If you read my last WWW Wednesday post, I was reading mostly ARCs because I am running late on a lot of them. Incidentally, most of my ARCs were mysteries slash thrillers.
Let me show you the top five mystery reads on my TBR (everything that isn’t an ARC, that is)!
These are all books that I own but I never read, so shame on me!
- The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
- The Diviners by Libba Bray
- Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
- Cuckoo Song by Frances Hardinge
- The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
I am frankly surprised I never read The Da Vinci Code and Cuckoo Song. I was so excited when I bought The Da Vinci Code and I got the latter in a giveaway that happened years back! Look at those covers! Why didn’t I read these?
I heard great things about all these books, but I never read them, which I guess is the true curse of being a bibliophile. Glad to see I succumbed to it – not!
Let me know what mystery reads are on your TBR? Are they all books you should have read years ago, like mine?

Hi, I haven’t read any of those yet but I’ve seen The Da Vinci Code movie a few years back and it was fun so I hope the book doesn’t disappoint! Happy reading!!
Me too! I’ll pick it up soon, hopefully!
I’ve read Nineteen Minutes many years ago, and though I cannot remember much now, I think it was a good Picoult novel! Also read, um, the prologue of The Da Vinci Code. Maybe it’s time to add it back to my TBR, too.
Hope you’ll enjoy these books!
Nineteen Minutes got such good reviews on GR too, so I’m really excited about that one! I need to read The Da Vinci Code and watch the movie too!
