Happy Saturday, readers! Today I am gonna talk book haul!
As always, I will be linking up with Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Reading Reality and created by Team Tynga’s Reviews.
This month we had a Big Bad Wolf Sale, so be prepared to see a bunch of coffee table books along with my usual fiction books! But otherwise, I had pretty good control of my book buying, so kudos to me!
My fiction haul from Big Bad Wolf 2021 included two Cassandra Clare book: The Red Scrolls of Magic and the anthology Ghosts of the Shadow Market. Since BBW has mostly backlist books, I took the opportunity to complete my series, so I purchased Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Beautiful by Christina Lauren.
Then I went crazy and bought four coffee table books that look and sound absolutely amazing! First up are a few architecture and travel books: European Architecture in Details, Chinese Houses of Southeast Asia: The Eclectic Architecture of Sojourners and Settlers, and Asia’s Legendary Hotels: The Romance of Travel. Then I indulged in a book on libraries, which was aptly named… Libraries!
With Kindle sales going on, I managed to snag a copy of The High Mountain Court by A.K. Mulford, a romantasy I have been eyeing for a few months now! As far as Chrismassy books go, I only managed to grab Meet Me Under the Mistletoe, a collection of romances featuring numerous great authors. Little Girl Lost by Cheryl Bradshaw is a mystery novel with a gorgeous cover, so I couldn’t resist buying that. Then I lost all control and bought a bunch of romance novels that were on sale: Rebel by Helen Hardt, One Night with Him by C.D. Reiss, Return to Us by Corinne Michael, Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen, and Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas.
This month’s pick for Romance was Neighbor Dearest by Penelope Ward, which has been on my radar for a while now. I’m in need of some good neighbor romances! I was also so happy to receive a free copy of Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan since I wasn’t happy with my first and most recent taste of Tijan’s writing. I can’t wait to dive in and figure out what the hype is all about!
This month I received three review books and they were all review requests sent in to me, so I am super happy about that! I already read and reviewed Dark Tourist: Essays by Hasanthika Sirisena, which turned out to be a raw, honest collection of essays. I received my copy of Clean Air by Sarah Blake for a blog tour happening next year, so I am going to take my sweet time reading this apocalyptic sci-fi novel. 12 Planets of the Intergalactic Map by Derek Mailhiot is a totally new book to me, so beyond the sci-fi element I’m not sure what else it contains. Can’t wait to find out!
Did you buy or receive any books this month? Catch any interesting reads in my haul? Let me know in the comments below!

Great haul, love how diverse this is 🙂 I definitely want to read that Beautiful series by Christina Lauren some day, as I love all of their recent releases.
Thank you, Lindsey! I haven’t read any new CLo releases, which sounds scandalous when I say it out loud! LOL! I totally recommend this series though! It’s so good!
