Happy Saturday, readers!
And Happy New Year! I can’t believe that 2021 is at an end and I am sharing my last book haul of 2021! As always, I will be linking up with Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Reading Reality and created by Team Tynga’s Reviews.

With my moving to Australia and all the attention I had to give to the process of settling down, I had no time to buy any physical books. But I think I more than made up for that by indulging in all the sales that were up on Kindle, so be warned that I have an overwhelming number of Kindle copies bought in December. I also received some amazing review copies, despite the fact that I spend way too much time stressing over when I’ll finish reading the review copies I already have!

I got my hands on a huge selection of genres this month. I was thrilled to get my hands of some great science fiction picks: The Visit by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and The Black Pages by Nnedi Okorafor. How to Become a Planet by Nicole Melleby is a middle-grade novel that sounds like it has some great mental health rep.
Then I got my hands on a wonderful collection of romance novels, both contemporary and fantasy! Love at First Hate sounds like a great enemies-to-lovers romance, as does the much-hyped The Ex-Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon. I also can’t wait to read romantic suspense novels Disorderly Conduct by Rebecca Zanetti and Catalyst by Rachel Grant. I was so thrilled to get my hands on two Scarlett St. Clair books: A Touch of Darkness and A Game of Fate! I was also super thrilled when Neon Gods landed on my lap too! Looks like it was a great month for adult fantasy romance!
I indulged a bit and got a copy of Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes because I was curious about the illustrations. Then I was lucky enough to be able to grab The Beauty in Breaking, which is a memoir that I have been eyeing for some time now. The Weekday Vegetarians, however, was a purely coincidental buy!

The Romance Club read of the month was Bossman by Vi Keeland, an adult romance that I have good things about! And that cover!

This month was definitely the best month I have had for review copies! I was so fortunate to have some amazing authors contact me for a review. I got my hands of some really great romances that I was looking forward to in 2022: small town romance That Kind of Guy, the foodie romance For Butter or Worse, and bridesmaid-drama romance Queerly Beloved. I received a review copy of the intriguing historical/science fiction Coin for the Ferryman by Megan Edwards as well the queer contemporary debut First Time for Everything by Henry Fry. Lastly, I was lucky enough to be a part of the blog tour for You Truly Assumed, a new release that I have seen so many of my friends on Bookstagram rave about!

Did you see any of your favourites or much anticipated releases in my book haul? Let me know in the comments below!
