Long: #5OnMyTBR

#5OnMyTBR is a new weekly meme hosted by E. @Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it in her announcement post. #5OnMyTBR takes place every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR. You can find each week’s prompts on here or come up with your own.

Today’s prompt: Long

I have to confess that I am a sucker for huge books that are like 300+ pages long and makes me feel super smart but nerdy to carry around (I shamelessly carry it everywhere of course). And think of all the work your arm muscles are putting in to hold that book open!

Let’s take a look at the top 5 longest books in my TBR:

The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon

This book has 1443 pages! WHAT?

I did notice the print was super tiny too, so good luck to me when I get to this book. And that will take a while because I’ve only read the first book so far, and this guy is the fifth in this gorgeous series!

Yay for secondhand finds though!

It by Stephen King

A mere 1376 pages but I’m terrified more by the story than the actual number of pages!

I watched the movie first with my brother, and thank God I had him with me because I was terrified. I haven’t watched the sequel yet, so no spoilers!

Also, guys, I haven’t read any King novels yet. I’ve got maybe two or three on my shelves but I’m just terrified to start sometimes.

A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin

I read A Game of Thrones a few years back and I loved it! I really did, but I never picked up the second book. At this point, I’m gonna need to reread the first one before I come back to this.

Also, this one’s got 913 pages (easy peasy).

Lady Midnight & Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

The only reason I haven’t read these yet is that I haven’t bought Queen of Air and Darkness yet. I have read two Cassandra Clare series before (The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments), so I’m pretty sure waiting for the next book after I finish one might actually kill me.

If anyone’s curious, Lady Midnight has 698 pages and Lord of Shadows totals at 701 pages!

That’s it, guys. My list of the longest TBR books in my library!

  1. Great list! I’ve read these Cassandra Clare books but I actually didn’t realise that they were that long! I read them on my Kindle though so I guess that’s why but they also didn’t read like tomes, which is great 😀 I hope you enjoy all of these reads!
